How do I know which facial is right for me?
You don’t need to know before you arrive. Your Facial & Skin Specialist will assess your skin, discuss your concerns and customize your treatment accordingly. Our Signature Facial is ideal for regular skin maintenance, the Luxe Facial offers an elevated treatment with dermaplaning and extended massage, and the Acne Facial focuses on congestion, breakouts and extractions.
Are your facials customized?
Yes. Every Modern Facial is tailored to your skin on the day of your appointment. Products, exfoliation, serums, masks and treatment elements are selected according to your skin type, current condition and goals.
What skincare products do you use?
Our medical facials feature Vivier medical-grade skincare, with products selected specifically for your skin and concerns. Professional treatment products, including customized HydroJelly masks, may also be incorporated depending on the facial.
What is the difference between the Signature and Luxe Facial?
The Signature is our essential 60-minute customized medical facial for maintaining healthy, hydrated and radiant skin. The 90-minute Luxe Facial takes the experience further with dermaplaning, intensive hydration and extended facial massage, making it ideal when you want additional exfoliation, relaxation and an immediate polished glow.
Does the Acne Facial include extractions?
Yes. Professional extractions are included when appropriate. The treatment also incorporates deep cleansing, acne-focused exfoliation, calming hydration and skincare selected for breakout-prone skin.
How often should I have a medical facial?
Many clients choose a medical facial approximately every 4–6 weeks for ongoing skin maintenance. Your ideal treatment schedule may vary depending on your skin concerns, home skincare routine and other treatments.
What is the difference between a facial and a chemical peel?
A facial combines multiple steps to cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate, nourish and treat the skin. A chemical peel provides more concentrated resurfacing using professional exfoliating solutions and can target concerns including pigmentation, acne, sun damage, uneven texture and visible signs of aging.
Which chemical peel should I choose?
You don’t have to decide on your own. We offer the Vivier Peel™ for gentler resurfacing and TX Jessner Plus for more advanced correction. Your skin will be assessed so the appropriate peel can be selected based on your skin, concerns and desired results.
Will I actually peel after a chemical peel?
It depends on the peel and your individual skin response. The Vivier Peel™ generally involves less visible downtime, while TX Jessner Plus may result in more noticeable dryness, flaking or peeling. The amount of visible peeling does not necessarily determine how effective the treatment was.
Can I have a facial or chemical peel before an event?
Yes, but timing matters. A customized facial can be an excellent choice when you’re looking for refreshed, glowing skin before an event. Chemical peels should be scheduled with enough time for potential redness, dryness or peeling to resolve. We can recommend the appropriate treatment based on your event date.
Can facials and peels be combined with my other skin treatments?
Often, yes. However, appropriate timing depends on the treatments involved and your skin. If you are receiving laser, microneedling, injectables or other advanced treatments, please let us know so we can recommend appropriate spacing between appointments.
What should I do after my treatment?
Aftercare depends on the treatment performed. In general, we recommend gentle skincare, good hydration and daily SPF while temporarily avoiding irritating active ingredients when advised. Your provider will give you specific aftercare instructions following your appointment.
