Comfort depends on the treatment and intensity selected. Lutronic Ultra and lighter CO₂ treatments are generally very manageable, often described as warmth, heat or a prickling sensation. For more intensive CO₂ resurfacing, topical numbing is used to help keep you comfortable. We’ll discuss exactly what to expect before your treatment.

Downtime can range from minimal to several days, depending on the treatment selected. Lutronic Ultra typically involves redness and a dry or sandpaper-like texture for several days, while lighter CO₂ resurfacing may involve redness, dryness and flaking. More advanced CO₂ treatments involve a longer healing period with more noticeable redness, swelling, peeling and skin renewal. Your recommended treatment will take both your goals and the amount of downtime you’re comfortable with into consideration.

This depends on your skin concerns and the level of correction you’re looking for. Lutronic Ultra is often performed as a series to progressively improve pigmentation, texture and overall skin quality. Lighter CO₂ treatments may also be performed as a series, while more advanced CO₂ resurfacing can provide significant correction from a single treatment. Our DEKA Tetra PRO CO₂ laser provides ablative resurfacing and can be customized from lighter treatments such as CoolPeel® to more advanced fractional CO₂ resurfacing. It is used when greater correction of texture, wrinkles, sun damage and more advanced signs of aging is desired. When appropriately selected and performed, laser resurfacing can be safely customized for many skin types. However, not every laser or treatment intensity is appropriate for every person. We’ll assess your skin type, pigmentation, medical history, current skincare and treatment goals before recommending treatment. Having both Lutronic Ultra and DEKA Tetra PRO CO₂ allows us to select the technology and intensity that are most appropriate for your individual skin rather than taking a one-treatment-fits-all approach.
